EV Chargers

Our experienced EV charger installers will visit your premises to assess the viability of fitting the equipment needed to power your electric vehicle. We’ll also check if your current electricity supply is sufficient to handle the required equipment and chargers. We also offer a power logging service for commercial premises to provide a detailed PDF report of your current usage to highlight available spare power. We will make recommendations on the correct equipment and placement to ensure that your vehicle is charged quickly and efficiently.

To help you harness the power of cleaner energy for your vehicles, we offer a range of efficient EV chargers that support charging speeds of 7kW which are ideal for domestic charging. We also install faster chargers with speeds of 22kW, which are suitable for commercial properties with a three-phase electricity supply.

Commercial EV

Commercial users can make the most of their EV chargers by using our power logging service. We’ll provide you with a detailed report of your current usage to highlight available spare power.

We do not recommend that you take on installation yourself. EV Chargers should be installed by a qualified OLEV-approved electrician.

The length of time it takes to install can vary depending on your premises, the location of your mains power and which charger is most suitable for your premises. That is why we offer a free design and quotation service so you know exactly what to expect.

The fully trained team at Prolec will work to ensure that you experience as little disruption as possible. We work hard to ensure you receive a smooth and efficient service.

The amount of time it takes to charge your car depends on two things – the type of car you have and which EV Charger you have installed. However, on average, you can expect a full charge to take around 8 hours and a top-up charge to take 4-6 hours, based on a 7kw charger. A 22kw charger on commercial premises with a 3phase power supply can fully charge a car in as little as 3 hours.

The cost of charging an electric car very much depends on the rates from your electricity supplier and the size of the battery in your car. On average, a full charge costs around £19.80 to give you the maximum mileage for your vehicle.
